Easter Sunday

Resurrection Day. The stone was rolled away. The women had come with spices to prepare the body. What they found was an empty tomb. An angel said to them, "He has risen; he is not here."

Death was defeated. The grave could not hold Him. He lives! Hallelujah, He lives!

Good Friday. He was mocked, spat upon, beaten - long strips of leather with pieces of rock and glass attached ripped chunks of flesh from his back. A crown of long, stabbing thorns was shoved upon his head. Mockingly they saluted him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” They cried, “Crucify, crucify him!” He was nailed - metal spikes were hammered into his hands and feet - to a heavy, rugged cross. And Jesus said, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.” They taunted, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” Innocent blood was shed. The ultimate Passover lamb had been slaughtered. It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming. #staytuned

Good Friday

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday. A plan of betrayal had been set in motion. Jesus knew what was to come. The pain, the torture...he knew, yet his command to his disciples was to love. Radical, self-less love. #staytuned

John 13:34-35

Palm Sunday. The first day of Holy Week. The crowd cheered, laid their coats in the street, and waved palm fronds as a sign of acknowledging a triumphant king. That king came riding in on the foal of a donkey. Not very glamorous. #staytuned
